We have been facing severe low-voltage issues in our area for several years, and no permanent action has been taken despite repeated complaints. My wife is currently pregnant, and the unstable power supply is causing significant hardship to our family. Based on the advice of the concerned electricity department officials, I applied for three-phase connections for both floors of my house, as we have two separate electricity meters. Initially, I was asked to pay ₹9,000 as an unofficial payment (bribe) to ensure that the required three-phase meter boxes would be provided without delay and that the connections would be processed quickly. Due to the urgency of the situation and my wife's condition, I paid the amount. However, even after more than 10 days, the three-phase connections have not been provided. The same officials are now stating that the meter boxes are out of stock and that the connections can only be given once new stock arrives. If the meter boxes were genuinely unavailable, I do not understand why I was asked to make the payment in the first place with the assurance that the work would be completed without delay. I request an immediate investigation into this matter, appropriate action against those responsible, and the prompt provision of the three-phase connections for both of my service connections.
